There is no spinal cord compression. So, plan of action is radiotherapy to help with pain. Possibly today or tomorrow.
This is a belated post to ensure that the blog has a complete record of events. This was posted originally as a page and not a post so I have added it retrospectively. Just back from the hospital. Sal is OK and exhausted and still hallucinating from the dexamethasone. This will be the case for … Continue reading Sally – A Quick Update
What a couple of days. Firstly, I apologise for the late post. I said I would post Friday but as you will see… events rather over took me. After spending a night in the MAU Sal was transferred to Brent Ward. This was good news a this is the cancer ward and it is much … Continue reading Crickey! I Don’t Know Where to Start
Well, given the past few days of continued breathing issues and her worsening lower back pain she was this afternoon transferred to Derriford. They have xrayed her chest already and taken blood for tests. Tomorrow she will have a ultrasound on her lungs and her tummy (they are looking for fluid for both), an doppler … Continue reading Sal Back in Derriford Hospital
I am just back from the hospice after being there all day. I feel exhausted. This has meant that it wasn’t possible to install a 32A electric car charger until I upgraded … Continue reading Power to the Garage
Today was a mix of the very good and the very bad… This morning Sally had the most dreadful head pain and was very breathless. This afternoon and evening this all changed when both head and breathing improved significantly and were the best they have been for a while now. She felt so good that she … Continue reading A Day of Two Halves
We had a long chat with the docs today. They still have no solid evidence that Sally’s breathing issues are anything in particular so we have requested that we go out on a bit of a limb and we reduce one of Sally’s drugs to see if it is a drug issue. This isn’t completely … Continue reading OK… this is the plan
Sally’s cough is getting a bit better but the breathlessness is not. She on on oxygen all the time at the moment. Until now she had been able to walk, although not very far, but now her right leg is occasionally not able to support her at all. This is almost certainly because her coughing … Continue reading Weak Legs & Lovely Flowers
