Progress

I know I have been rather quiet recently on the blog but it has taken me a little while to get my ducks in a row…

I have now made a couple of decisions…

The-Open-UniversityFirstly, and perhaps the biggest one of all, is that rather than go back to working as a computer consultant I have decided to go back to full-time study and to finally get my degree. I did an OU year about 6 years ago with the intention of doing it part-time but Sally’s cancer diagnosis got in the way and it got pushed aside. Well now I want to finish it and as my business is running at such a low volume I can see no reason why I shouldn’t study full-time and aim to get the degree in 3 years. I will study with the Open University for a BSc (Honours) Mathematics and Physics.

20120517_114607The second decision is regarding my car. As you all know, I have been a staunch supporter and keen enthusiast for electric cars having had a Nissan Leaf since 2011. Now I only have one car it makes it difficult for long trips to only have an all-electric car. So I am selling my Nissan Leaf. A couple of years ago we sold a Vauxhall Ampera for the Qashqai and at the time it made a lot of sense. Now though the Ampera makes much more sense as my only car and so I am buying another Ampera… similar to my last one. I didn’t particularly gel with the Ampera and it has a few flaws I didn’t like but I can certainly put up with them. So watch this space for a new car acquisition.

Still no decision on the house or where I shall live but still no rush either  🙂
