So, first stop – Málaga.
The flight was totally uneventful with an excellent crew. Kept my bubbly topped up too! The food was pretty good… Penne Arrabiata… but it could have been spicier.
The standout was how easy it was to get from the airplane to the centre of Málaga. The LineA (Airport Express) bus stops right outside the terminal, takes just 20 mins to the centre and costs just 3EUR. It really could not be easier.
Weather in Málaga was sunny (well sun setting) and 20C so a lovely evening.
I decided to stay in Station2B Bed & Breakfast. It is right by the main station and bus station and costs just 28EUR. It is very basic, with shared bathroom facilities, not the cleanest but hey! It is 28EUR and not that bad. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful so I am sure it will be fine for one night – right in the centre too so may be I can find a bar 😉 Finding the entrance to the place was a nightmare as they have no signs at the entrance… it is just an apartment block. It is a bit different to a hotel and I couldn’t recommend it but if you fancy something cheap and cheerful in the centre then it is OK… oh, and by the way… bring earplugs!
I want to get to the airport no later than 2 hours before the flight tomorrow so leaving 45 mins to get to the airport I have to leave here at 7.30 at the latest. I am sure this is too early but I don’t want to risk being late.
A great start to the trip!
