Finally, after over a week with the system installed but the scaffolding still up, the scaffolding is removed and so this marks completion of the install.
So far it is very encouraging. Typical generation is at about 500W when it is cloudy which nicely covers the house base load of 300W. When the sun is out in full it generates about 3.5kW.
This may not sound like much bearing in mind that we have nearly 9kWp of panels and a 6kW inverter but remember that this is an E/W split system so only half is ever in direct sunlight at any moment. Also, it is November! Days are short and the sun is low in the sky.
I am very impressed with the Solar Edge monitoring software.
Next on the agenda is the addition of a storage battery when Solar Edge launch theirs early next year.
